How does a VO2 max test work?
This exercise-based assessment is performed on either a treadmill or cycling ergometer.
The speed or resistance will gradually increase each minute, pushing you towards your maximum capacity over a period of approximately 10-15 minutes, tailored to your fitness level.
To ensure the most relevant data, we advise selecting the exercise that best reflects your training background.
Throughout the test, you'll wear a comfortable mask, which precisely measures the oxygen you inhale and the carbon dioxide you exhale.
We also utilise a heart rate monitor and power meter (for cycling) to gather a comprehensive suite of data points about your aerobic fitness.
